On October 2, 2023, KHRC received a visit from the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP), funders of the ongoing Malaria Vaccine Pilot Evaluation- Case Control studies (MVEP-CC) in Ghana, Kenya, and Malawi. The team were in Kintampo to conduct technical and financial assessment of the MVPE-CC project.

MVPE-CC is a multi-country study in three countries in sub-Saharan Africa. The MVPE-CC studies seek to determine the safety and effectiveness of the RTS,S/AS01 malaria vaccine in vaccinated children to complement the population level measures of impact obtained through the World Health Organization (WHO) Malaria Vaccine Implementation Project .
